About… QCFI Thane Chapter
Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) is a national organization engaged in propagation of Quality concepts. The institute is formed in 1982 having its Head quarter at Secunderabad in Andhra Pradesh. The Forum today has more than 37 Chapters, Sub-chapters & Quality Centers spread across the length and breadth of the country with membership more than ten thousand.
QCFI Thane Chapter, is one of the most vibrant, Innovative & leading chapter serving the industries and service sectors by conducting training and implementing the various Quality concepts since 2014. Thane Chapter is dynamically adjusting to the changing needs of the industries and serves them in a need – based manner. We have a large pool of experienced and expert faculties, who were earlier working with the leading organizations and actually practicing these concepts.
While Thane Chapter is mainly focusing on the manufacturing industries and service sectors in and around Thane in implementing quality concepts, the industrial belts in the Kalyan – Dombivali, Ambernath, Badlapur, Wada, Khopoli and Taloja MIDC’s remained untouched by the activities of QCFI.
During the interactions with various Industries, Managements & Associations in these regions we felt the need to have QCFI’s presence in these industrial belt, having more than 16,000 Small/Medium industries & above 400 Large scale industries/public sector undertakings. The propagation of various Quality Concepts in these industries may help them to enhance their performance excellence and hence the presence of QCFI in this region.
On this background QCFI Thane Chapter has opened, “Thane Chapter” an extension of QCFI Thane Chapter in this region on 27th December, 2014 at Century Rayon Club House, Shahad, For which we are always thankful to Shri. O.R.Chitlange, Sr. president, Century Rayon, for giving all the encouragement & support for this event.
This is result of last one & half years of hard work by our colleagues, under the valuable guidance of Mr.D.K. Srivastava, Executive Director QCFI. This was backed up by the whole hearted support from our Governing Council members along with some of the supporters/well wishers from Industries, Service sectors and educational institutes from this region.
The opening of the Thane chapter will help to the industries and service sectors in the Thane District region in implementing the various Quality concepts like 5 S, Kaizen, Quality Circles, Lean QC, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Value Engineer (VE), Six Sigma, SPC/SQC and many more. This will be a step towards performance excellence to achieve the business objectives and goals of the Organizations.
